Normal activities have been suspended as of today 19th March 2020.

Avenues takes the well-being of our members and our staff seriously.  We feel it is important to comply with government guidelines around social distancing, given the potential risks to those with underlying conditions and the strain on the NHS if the spread is not slowed down.

Services temporarily suspended:

  • The Zone (for 8-13s),
  • The seniors (for 13-18s)
  • Girls Only sessions on Tuesdays (for 11-18s)
  • Sporty Saturdays
  • Easter Holiday programme
  • May holiday programme.

We will continue some activities that can be delivered remotely, and are actively considering new ways of providing support where it is most needed in the most appropriate way.

Services continuing:

  • Level 1 youth worker training (remote learning)
  • Youth mentoring (remotely)
  • Dance sessions (remotely)
  • Online youth activities (remotely)
  • Provision of cooked food for delivery
  • Limited on-site provision for the most vulnerable.

The office staff are operating a shift pattern allowing for a single member of staff to be in the office on any given day.  The rest of the staff are working remotely and can still be contacted on the main switchboard number 020 8969 9552 and by email.

We are actively working with services across the neighbourhood, from the Queen’s Park Community Council to  schools, foodbanks, churches and beyond to play our part in a community-wide effort to minimise the damaging effect on children and young people in the neighbourhood,

If you have any questions or suggestions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Yours sincerely

Fabian Sharp

Chief Executive
