WE OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 8 AND 19

All our sessions are led by qualified Youth Workers, Tutors and Coaches that hold an enhanced DBS check. Every youth session is overseen by a member of our leadership team ensuring the high-quality delivery of our services and activities. All of our youth sessions and activities are fully accessible.

Easter Holiday 2019

8th April - 22nd April 2019, from 10:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m

Children aged 8 - 13 are invited to join us for a range of stimulating and fun activities. Offering a varied and programme there's something for everyone.

Young people aged 13 - 16 are invited to join us for all the usual favourites and more. Explore London, learn new skills and make new friends.

FREE HOT LUNCHES ARE AVAILABLE  daily, on a first come first served basis.  Please note that places for lunch go quickly and are usually fully booked by 11:00 a.m.

The Zone

More fun, more activities and best of all ... More time

As of the 23rd April 2019, our After School club will be extending its offer to 5 days a week.  Starting at 3:30 children and young people aged 8 - 13 years old will be able to attend until 6:00 p.m.  Please note that places are limited and a number of spaces are reserved for referrals from youth professionals and schools.

Graffiti Kings

Working in partnership with PALS (formally known as Westminster Sports Unit) and Graffiti Kings the Avenues will be making their mark on the boarding around the Jubilee Sports Centre.  This once in a lifetime opportunity to work with some of the most well-known graffiti artists from in and around London will be happening during the Easter Half Term.  If you are aged 12 - 16 and art, graffiti or spray painting is your thing, then this is one not to be missed.

Cooking - Experience the enticing and tasty culinary world of food. Explore healthy cooking with a twist

Dance - Dance lessons for beginners, contemporary, street dance, ballet and jazz 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm (8 - 13-year-olds)

Dance - Contemporary, Jazz, Dance Fusion & Street Dance.  Professional dance coach. 5:00pm - 6:00pm (All dance abilities welcome - 14 - 18 year olds)

Arts & Crafts - customise bags and t-shirts, create beautiful smelling candles, bath bombs, slime, soaps, painting and clay modelling.

Health and Wellbeing workshops

CAN YOU HANDLE FREESTYLE FRIDAYS AT THE AVENUES?

Freestyles Fridays offer you a fun packed evening of social opportunities that encourage you to have fun with your friends in a safe and productive setting. Staffed by qualified youth workers, tutors and coaches we offer young people full access to what will prove to be a fantastic night.

ON OFFER

Minibus Pick and drop off  -  As from April we offer a pickup service within a 1-mile radius of the youth club.  For the most vulnerable young people, our driver will drop you straight to your door (parts of this service are referral only, please email info@avenues.org.uk) for more information.

In the Kitchen - Throughout the month; weeks 1&2 drop in cooking sessions, week 3 Cooking Club with Pattie and Punch (enrol now as places are limited) Last Friday of the month pop up cafe, delicious food available for sale to young people under 18 years old.  COMING IN MAY -SAV'S @ AVES 

In the Recording Studio - OFFERING YOUNG PEOPLE SOME AMAZING OPPORTUNITIES & EXPERIENCES.  Run by industry professionals spending time in our studio will bare some rewarding surprises!

In the Sports Hall - Football with DS Football Academy - 7:00 - 8:30

In the Games Room - Chill with your friends and smash your mates at Fifa on our large projector screen.  Also on offer table tennis, pool, music, table football and online access as well as FREE wifi.

Design, Cut and Print - This is an outstanding design programme where young people are supported to design their own brand, be creative and express themselves through fashion.

Driving and Hazard Perception Test available - come along and prepare for your test, practice as much as you like to ensure you pass first time.

CLASSES ARE  FREE

The Avenues will provide you with a Judo jacket and belt, you just need to wear something comfortable (no jeans)

FUN, FRIENDLY AND FIT

Judo is a fun activity where children and young people don’t have to be particularly sporty. Targeting young people aged 8 - 15 we run classes for different abilities where they can develop their skills with others who know as much as they do and want to have fun and learn.

Learning the art of Judo can help with:

flexibility and a more positive attitude?

All young people wishing to take part in a Judo session are required to complete a short Health & Safety induction

KITCHEN SOCIAL

Providing hot meals to our members during the half term and holidays

Funded by the Mayor Fund for London we will be providing hot and healthy meals to children and young people aged 8 - 16 during the school half terms and holidays.

Kitchen social is a project that promotes volunteering by both young people and adults to ensure that the service that we provide and the volunteering experience is first class.
