All our sessions are led by qualified Youth Workers, Tutors and Coaches that hold an enhanced DBS check. Every youth session is overseen by a member of our leadership team ensuring the high-quality delivery of our services and activities. All of our youth sessions and activities are fully accessible.

Thanks to Toddla T of BBC 1Xtra Wretch 32 will be visiting some of our young people that practice their art right here at the Avenues Youth Project.  If you are 13 - 19,spit bars, are a budding producer, singer, photographer or radio presenter hit us up as it's still not too late to get an exclusive invite to this up close and personal visit with Wretch 32 and other industry professionals.

GIRLS ONLY GROUP

Ages 8-16, 4:00pm – 6:30pm

Cooking - Experience the enticing and tasty culinary world of food. Explore healthy cooking with a twist

Dance - Contemporary & Street Dance with our professional dance coach. Classes: beginners 4:30 - 5:30, advanced 5:30 - 6:30

Arts & Crafts - customise bags and t-shirts, create beautiful smelling candles, bathbombs and soaps, painting and clay modelling.

Girls Football on a match size pitch - 4:30 - 6:30

Science Workshops with Naomi
Non Newtonian Liquids - Make liquid slime that becomes solid when you apply pressure
Surface Tension Colors - experiment with colours and movement
Static Electricity - Learn how to use static electricity to make objects float

Quiet space to study with computers and printers available

Freestyles Fridays offer you a fun packed evening of social opportunities that encourage you to have fun with your friends in a safe and productive setting. Staffed by qualified youth workers, tutors and coaches we offer young people full access to the club.

ON OFFER

Cooking - Learn how to bake and make delicious recipes from around the world.

Recording Studio - OFFERING YOUNG PEOPLE SOME AMAZING OPPORTUNITIES & EXPERIENCES.  Run by industry professionals spending time in our studio will bare some rewarding surprises!

Dance - Street dance? Contemporary? beginners: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm advanced 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Girls Night In

A girls night in, that offers girls and young women all that a good girls night in requires. Informative workshops, fun activities, trips, guest speakers and PIZZA! No subject is off topic... could a girl ask for more!!

Games Room - Hang out with your friends and play a game of Fifa 18 on our large projector screen as well as test your skills at table tennis, pool, table football and cards whilst listening to the latest music

MOBERLY STARS/AVENUES JUDO CLUB

Saturday Judo sessions for young people funded by Everyone Active

CLASSES ARE  FREE

The Avenues will provide you with a Judo jacket and belt, you just need to wear something comfortable (no jeans)

FUN, FRIENDLY AND FIT

Judo is a fun activity where children and young people don’t have to be particularly sporty. Targeting young people aged 8 - 15 we run classes for different abilities where they can develop their skills with others who know as much as they do and want to have fun and learn.

Learning the art of Judo can help with: 

self-discipline

fitness

flexibility and a more positive attitude?

All young people wishing to take part in a Judo session are required to complete a short Health & Safety induction

KITCHEN SOCIAL

Providing hot meals to our members during the half term and holidays

Funded by the Mayor Fund for London we will be providing hot and healthy meals to children and young people aged 8 - 16 during the school half terms and holidays.

Kitchen social is a project that promotes volunteering by both young people and adults to ensure that the service that we provide and the volunteering experience is first class.

TEEN SPIRIT MENTORING PROGRAMME

PEER MENTORING PROGRAMME

Funded by Thrive London we are proud to offer 8 young people the opportunity to train with us and become qualified peer mentors. Our peer mentors will gain a recognised qualification as well as receive in-house training in safeguarding, gangs and youth work.
